Vesuvianite SV54

This is a spectacular piece! It has the most gorgeous color of orange-red bustamite around the stone. This is different than the usual salmon-colored bustamite. The purple is also a very deep, rich purple. This stone weighs 1 pound and 9.2 ounces and was photographed wet. The dimensions of this stone, referencing the thumb nail picture are as follows: approximately 160mm long; 80mm tall and 40mm thick. We sell this material primarily as specimen quality; however, in the right hands, this particular stone has excellent lapidary cutting potential. In fact, right below this description is a picture of a semi-finished cabachon that Mark cut and polished from this type of material.
